2026 will be a year of magic!
That's right! I'm setting the scene for what this new chapter of our lives will be like and I say it's going to be magical!
I have two curated shoots with models I'm planning for this year and I can't be more excited! Things are finally lining up due to the hard work in 2025, and I'm ready to accept the rewards. Do you have something special or amazing happening in 2026?
2025 mentions
This year was wonderful! I was able to get back behind the camera after having my second child the first day of 2025. Moved to a new state with an almost 3 year old, a 2 month old, my husband, and a U-Haul truck. It was the most difficult move and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but we did it and forever happy that we did. Chattanooga has been a great spot for us to breathe, make friends, experience nature, and find a place of constant events. Up above are some of my favorite photos of this year. I'm so grateful for all these beautiful clients that reach out to me and trust me to document their special moments of life.
2026 modeled shoots
I love taking photos for others, but I also want to take some photos for me too! This summer I'm going to be setting up a water fairy shoot with a model. Think long hair, flowing dress, flowers, sun glares, magical photo effects, and dreamy poses. I'm still on the search for a model for this shoot. I would love to have a diverse female model with long hair, not afraid of water, and willing to pose in a river.
The second shoot will be in the fall, I have my model, but I'm still thinking about the location. I want to do a Victorian, dark romance, Phantom of the Opera type shoot. I'm on the search for a beautiful long, poofy, layered wedding dress and a location with either stained glass windows or chandeliers.
2026 mini sessions
With spring comes Mother's Day Minis! I'm on the search for a flower field that will be ready for mid-April (so photos will be ready for Mother's Day in early May). I will open up slots in March for booking. The pricing will be $40, 10 minutes, for at least 10 edited images delivered in an online gallery.
In July I'm also thinking of having a Donate to my Classroom mini sessions for family sessions at The Flower Field TN. I will be a fulltime teacher again next school year and the sessions will be 10 minutes each with at least 10 edited photos delivered, but instead of a flat fee (minimum $30) you purchase something for my classroom from my Amazon wish list or donate to my classroom fund.
After those I will be in the full swing of teaching so I might only do Christmas mini's during the Thanksgiving break if I have enough interest in them.
